I'm Back!!

Okay so I haven't blogged in such a LONG time I know! I'm a slacker lately I have to say. Hey but I've been out of control busy with four kids! Whoever said having four kids is easy doesn't know what they are talking about, or they are the most patient person ever! Ha! My life might be a little crazy, but it is a new adventure everyday:) Reese is growing up so much. He is 4 1/2 months and weighs a whopping 15lbs! I LOVE chunky babies! He is such a good boy too. He still wakes me up to eat at night which we need to nip in the bud like yesterday! His smile is so contagious and he is laughing and having fun with his sisters. I think we will keep him:)

Hailee is such a great older sister at 7 1/2 yrs. She doesn't complain (okay maybe sometimes) but helps me sooooo much! She is liking her new school Xavier Charter School and doesn't mind wearing uniforms daily. She loves her 2ND grade teacher Mrs. Archibald. She is very artistic and creative. None of that comes from me:)

The girls love their little brother to death! Tessa is always telling me "Mom, you had such a cute baby" She is the little mother in the home. She can't bear to see Reese cry. If I don't get him right away she is bringing him right to me. They can't wait for him to get bigger so he can play with him. I on the other hand don't want him to grow up!

I'm so not a Halloween person! My kids love dressing up and I'm a little bah hum bug about myself dressing up. Hailee was the Ice Witch off Narnia, Tessa Minnie Mouse, Afton was a pink poodle, and Reese was a dinosaur. They had fun at our ward "Trunk or Treat" and going to our neighbors homes.

Needless to say we are all fine and well. Now if life could just slow down a little!

Tessa's Day

Tessa started Kindergarten on Mon the 24Th. I can't believe I have two children in school now. She has been looking forward to this day for awhile. She was up at 6:30am and ready to go. Her dad had fixed her breakfast and she had her teeth brushed. I told her to lay by me for 10 or 15 min and then we would get up. She kept saying, "I get to go to school!" She loves her teacher Mrs. Olsen and has already made bunches of new friends. She is my social butterfly, and very observant. She comes home and tells me all about her day, and about all her little friends. I just LOVE her to pieces!!

Summer Has Gone...

We have had a pretty okay summer. Having a baby in June doesn't let us do a lot of things. We would of liked to have done more camping, but it can be difficult with a newborn. Oh well!! Next summer we have plans to have more fun:) We have had family come and visit. And I LOVE that! My sister JoRae and her two girls Emma and Olivia. They had a great time together. Afton keeps asking when Olivia is coming back:)

My sister took these pictures of Reese and they turned out GREAT! He was only 4 or 5 wks when these were taken. I can't believe how fast they grow! We love him to death!!

My sleeping boy.....

The girls wanted to ride Daisy Mae so daddy went out to help. They love the horse and had a great time. Hailee led her around and combed her clean. What a great dad to help them:)

This is Reese about 6 or 7 wks. He is getting so chubby as you can see. He weighs about 11lbs. He loves his food and is not about to skip a feeding. I'm still up with him 2 times in the night. I feel like a zombie most days, but it is amazing how you still make do with little sleep. I'm looking forward to a good night sleep one day....

My Baby Boy..Reese Porter

So I finally had my baby boy! What an exciting adventure it was. He is 2 wks old tomarrow. Where does the time go?? So I thought I would fill you all in on my labor adventure....My water broke in my kitchen as I was making chicken tacos on the stove(I'm so glad I was at home and not in public). I thought I might have peed my pants but it just kept coming, and I knew that my water broke. This happened on June 29Th and my due date wasn't until July 4Th, so needless to say I was totally not ready to head to the hospital. I really thought I would have a July baby not a June baby! Got to the hospital around 7:00pm and walked and did things that would progress my labor. This time I was determined not to have a C-Section, so I wanted to go VBAC and deliver vaginally. I tested positive for the group strep B so I had to be on antibiotics every 4 hrs till I delivered and then stay 48 hrs to monitor the baby after he was born.
I decided I wouldn't have an epidural until my contractions were 1 min apart and really strong, so I waited as long as I could and had the epi at 3:30am and that lasted until around 8:00AM, I could feel the contractions quite hard and was MAD that it didn't take longer and that I was in a lot of PAIN!! I went from a 6cm to 9cm pretty quickly and they thought it might be too late and I told then NO I want something now! So I had an intertheccal thinking I would have the baby in 2 hrs(that is how long the medicine works) But the baby didn't want to come in the 2 hrs so I had to "buck" up and just get through it. I pushed for 50 min and he finally came out weighing 8 lb 1 oz and 21 in long on June 30Th at 11:54 am. The nurse I had was the best nurse in keeping me focused and breathing techniques. I couldn't of asked for better. She was so excited when Reese came out she told me to look down and all I can remember is saying "I don't care just get it out of me!" I really wasn't thinking clearly, and being in the hospital for 17 hrs with little sleep I was definitely delusional! :)

Even through all the the pain and torment of natural labor, I do have to say now that Reese is here he is totally worth it!! We just love him to pieces and can't get enough of him. Tracy was awesome though it all. After if was all over I asked him if I was cursing at all or yelling too loud where everyone on the floor could hear me. His response was "no" you did great and I'm so proud of you! He was even teary eyed and that NEVER happens! He was great!

We have our 4 kids and we feel complete. I have to say that I really don't want to go though that again EVER!!

Nebeker Update....

So I thought I should let you all know that I still haven't had this baby yet! I do have 1 wk to go till my due date though. I just didn't know if I would go early or not with all of the contractions I have been having. Oh well! I really do want a July baby even if he comes on the 1st:) The girls ask me everyday if it is July yet and I have to tell them not yet, in so many days it will be. Then the question gets asked again later. They are so funny! I can tell they are excited for Reese to get here they can hardly stand it...except for maybe Afton. She hugs my belly and says "Oh baby Reese" but I don't think she understands that when this baby gets here, he will be taking up some of Afton's space:)

Our 13Th Anniversary was this month and my great husband was so cute to send me beautiful flowers at work. We went out to dinner and spent some quality time together. He is an amazing husband and father. I couldn't ask for anything better. Lately he has been so good to me. He is so helpful when I'm not able to do things, (my poor belly gets in the way). I love him to pieces!!

Tessa celebrated her 5Th birthday in May. She is such a good girl. She is the animated one in our family and keeps us laughing all the time. All she wanted for her birthday was an American Girl Doll. Then later she decided she wanted a new bike also. I told her she had to choose, we couldn't get them both. She of course chose the doll. Tracy couldn't quite understand that:) but she did receive money from her grandparents and she had enough to buy a bike!

Some things I love about Tessa are:

-She is a lover and a hugger

-She is so inquisitive and is always asking us questions

-She is not afraid of telling me she loves me and thinks I'm the most beautiful mom ever!

-She plays well with her sisters and is always willing to share

-She is a nurturer, and wants to help whenever

-She says the cutest prayers ever

I just love her to pieces!! Too bad right now she is sick and I've been dealing with fevers and sore throats the last 2 days!! I hope I don't catch anything before this baby arrives:? Wish me luck!!

Easter, Birthday and More....

Okay I admit I've been such a slacker lately when it comes to blogging! I have so much to post, pictures and all. I'm warning this could be a picture overload:) Our family has been pretty busy lately with dance, swimming lessons, Women's Conf. and me being 7 mo pregnant! We are all well and enjoying this spring weather even if it has been raining lately.

We had a wonderful Easter. We stayed at our house and the girls were really excited about the whole ordeal. Tracy hid eggs in the backyard for them to find. They had a blast!! In fact the next day Tessa and Afton were out playing and they found another egg that they had missed. Tessa was so excited:)Besides having a wonderful Easter, we celebrated Hailee's 7th birthday. I can't believe she is already 7 yrs old. It seems like yesterday that she was born. She has been such a blessing in our lives. We waited 6 yrs to have her....the wait was worth it!! Some things I LOVE about Hailee are:

--She is a great helper, she is one who cleans up after herself

--She is a great big sister and loves to play and keep her sisters entertained

--Loves animals and has such a tender heart

--She loves to learn and read

--She says wonderful prayers, and loves going to church

--Is kind to everyone she meets

--Excels at whatever she puts her mind to

We had a family party with just us and then later she had a friend party where two of her cousins were able to come. My sister Kim and her daughter Grace came that weekend from Utah and we had a great time. We took them to Shoshone Falls and the water was really full and the pictures turned out beautiful!

Hailee's dad sent her flowers at school:)

The beautiful falls!

Time Change

So I have to say I don't like it when the time changes Spring or Fall. Maybe because my kids have a very hard time adjusting and then they take it out on me!:/ We are all doing well even if the time changes and we lose sleep! Ha! I'm just getting bigger by the day. I'm now 25 wks and counting. The doctor wants to do another ultrasound for a precaution due to my last pregnancy that I had too much fluid. I know deep down they just want my money! I'm feeling really good this pregnancy I can't complain much. I do have to say I get easily agitated and irritable. My poor husband and kids. Tracy keeps asking me, "Why are you being grouchy?" And I keep telling him "I don't mean too, it must be the extra hormones running through my body." He doesn't quite get it. Oh well!! We are SO excited to meet our little boy! Tessa is my lover and is constantly kissing my belly and talking to the baby. She is so funny:) Afton will have a hard adjustment when he arrives. She is such a "mommy's" girl and doesn't want to give her status up:)

Hailee did pretty well in gymnastics this year. She didn't quite make state, but she doesn't understand all that yet. I can't believe she is almost 7 yrs. Tessa is still in dance and tumbling and says she wants to try something new after May. She says she wants to be fish and live in the ocean. I think I'll start swimming lessons again soon:) Afton is growing and talking more. She is VERY independent and stubborn. She is a lover also, but she can be a stinker. Tracy is plugging along and staying pretty busy. We are hoping more work comes his way soon. We hope all is well with family and friends. I love this time of year, and look forward to a wonderful year!
Tessa fell asleep under our table and chair as I was having a meeting
Asleep again in the car!

The Verdict

Okay so I'm finally posting the news of the sex of our baby...we are so excited to welcome a BOY to our home. The girls went with Tracy and I to the ultrasound appt on the 18th. Tracy had a bet with them that if it is a boy he would buy them an icecream cone, and if it is a girl they have to buy him one with their own money. Guess who one! The girls were not only excited to have a brother but also to have an icecream cone! I thought that was so cute of him to do that:) A couple days later my mom and sister Jen came to visit. Jen has 2 girls and a boy. We had such a fun time other than the normal drama that happens when I have her come visit! HA! Afton started a fever Fri and then broke out with herpes sores a throughout her mouth. I felt so bad for her. The virus is called Primary Herpetic Gingivastomatitis. Very painful!! It is a week later and she still is hurting but I think she is on the mend. Hailee and Tessa had a blast with Peyton and Meg. I'm sure you have read Jen's blog, but the drama of Jen having a sinus infection, Meg throwing up, and Afton's sores was enough for all of us. Needless to say we still had fun shopping for a little boy in my tummy and me not having a clue how to shop for one:) Staying up late and playing games! Tracy giving us a break and taking the girls to Dairy Queen for icecream cones and DI to buy stuff animals. He was wonderful to take on 5 girls! We love having family and friends come stay with us! Okay who is next to come????

I have to add two more cute photos of my nephew Drake, Tessa and Afton. It was fun having him over for a few hours one morning so his mom could get some rest after having his baby sister Elsie! We love you Drake!

Pregnancy and Fun

So as you will see my belly is growing. I am now 19 wks, almost halfway done! We are excited to have a new addition to our family. The girls are set on having a brother...we will see:) My ultrasound is on the 18th of Feb, and hopefully the baby cooperates. The girls are excited to go with myself and Tracy to the Drs. Tessa can't wait to change diapers and is always talking to my belly and kissing it! She is so cute about it. Today she asked me, "Mom when you get the baby out does it hurt?" I stuttered and said, "yes it does." (I haven't had the talk to Hailee and Tessa on how babies come out), thankfully she didn't say anymore but "Oh." And then it when on too... "Does all babies have belly buttons?" She makes me smile all of the time:) She is curious about everything.

*This picture was a couple of weeks ago

We have had a great time traveling with Hailee and going to her competions. We went to Boise a few times and was able to take my niece Shelby with us. She is the same age as Hailee and we had a great time eating, swimming and watching Hailee. Shelby also turned 7 yrs when we were there and we went out to eat at Wingers and they sang to her! The girls had so much fun:) Hailee is getting better and does really well on floor and vault. She is improving on beam and bars. We leave Friday to go to Idaho Falls and her meet is Sat in Shelly, ID. We hope this meet she qualifies for state, which will be the end of March in Pocatello.
