WE DID IT!!!

I had so much fun this last week with my two sisters coming to Idaho to visit the Nebeker clan...Kim has 1 daughter and JoRae has 2 girls. So you can imagine what my house was like with 6 girls running around screaming and having so much fun! Poor Tracy was so outnumbered. Maybe that's why we didn't see much of him all weekend. I do have to say thanks to Tracy for staying home with all of the girls 6 and under so me and my sisters could go out to the movies. What a great guy! Olivia only got out of her bed 6 times (Jo, Tracy didn't tell us the whole truth...Ha!), and was high on Lora tab. Poor girl had her tonsils out right before she came. Saturday, Kim and I ran the Rim to Rim. It was a 7.5 mile run and pretty intense in parts. The first 2 miles was straight uphill on a steep grade, and then at the end it was uphill again:/ It was challenging, but so worth it! They provided us a great lunch afterwards, and the best part was our family waiting for us to finish! Running is such a stress reliever for me. I do enjoy it other than the shin splints that linger with me all of the time. My goal is to run a half marathon and then who knows...baby steps..I am so glad Kim ran it with me and we actually did it!!

This is the bridge between the two rims..beautiful!

Lost Tooth....

So Hailee has been wanting to lose a tooth so bad for so long. Last year in Kindergarten she would come home and tell me what friends had a loose tooth. She would keep tabs on them and let me know when they would lose the "tooth". But poor Hailee didn't have a loose tooth or one even close to becoming loose. Every night before bed she would say, "Mom would you please check to see if any of my teeth are loose yet?" and that became our nightly ritual for about 9mo. Then finally she had a loose tooth, oh but wait....she has 3 loose teeth at once! And was she ever excited, so for about 2 or 3 more months she would wiggle and play with her teeth constantly. It actually became annoying because she always had her fingers in her mouth. About 2 wks ago right after school started I decided I was going to pull out the tooth. The funny thing is the tooth that was really loose was her top front one, not the bottom. Doesn't make sense in the dental professional world, but really what in my life makes sense! Ha! Back to the story.. I pulled and grabbed and she wouldn't let me pull it out. so I told her while we were camping over Labor Day it was coming out. Long story short her wonderful Aunt JoRae decided she would take on the duty of being the dentist and yank that tooth right out.. and she did! Thank you JoRae for finally getting that stinking tooth out! Now Hailee feels like she fits in more so at school because she has lost a tooth. Boy she has no idea that there are harder things in life than not loosing a tooth. She makes me smile....

The Little Mommy.....

Today was a busy day rushing around, taking kids to school, picking up kids, and taking kids to gymnastics, and then me running etc... So then night time rolls around and I am so tired I don't want to brush my kids teeth or get them ready for bed. Can anyone relate? So my 4 yr old Tessa who likes to help mom out sometimes decides she is going to change Afton's diaper and get her into her pj's. I came upstairs to see what they were doing and I found Tessa helping Afton get ready for bed. Tessa is such a little mommy. She LOVES dolls, and everything that goes along playing with dolls. She still thinks she doesn't have enough dolls. She cracks me up! She is such a hugger, kisser, and nurturer. She will be a great mommy one day......

Carpet, Carpet, and more Carpet....

Okay so it has taken me 6yrs to put new carpet in our house! Can I just say how much I love love it. It is so soft and lovely! :) Anyway, let me tell you how much of a chore it was to move everything around so they could lay the carpet. It took 3 days for them to get the carpet in, and longer for us to to get everything back into place. I do have to say it was great to go through things and get rid of a lot of stuff. The girls are hilarious with laying on the carpet and saying "Oh how soft." I know I should of done it a long time ago, but now I have and we really love it!

This is the old carpet...pretty boring and blah!

Tah Duh! This is our new carpet! We carpeted the whole house except for the kitchen, dining area, bathrooms, laundry room, and storage room.

Utah Trip

So my boss decided last minute that he wanted to take all of his employee's and families to Lagoon. We of course said "Yes!" couldn't pass that one up. My sister Kim and her daughter Grace met us there. We all had a blast despite the hot....very hot weather of 103 degrees. My kids didn't mind a bit, they were to busy having fun and riding on whatever ride would let them on. Afton wouldn't get off "Bulgy the Whale." I could of left her there and she wouldn't of minded one bit!

We also went to Echo Lake and camped with my sisters. We all had so much fun...wake boarding, building in the sand, skiing, knee boarding, and tubing. Thank you Mike, Kim, and JoRae for using all of your fun toys!

What Was I Thinking?

So starting this spring I thought it might be fun to start running a couple 5K races. I must be crazy or something because I never ran track in high school, and now I enjoy running. My sister Kim got me going and we ran the race for the cure in May. That was fun. Then I decided I would do another 5k on the 4Th of July in 100 degree temp! What was I thinking! And now it has become a little addicting for me now, so I decided to run a 10k over the 24Th of July in Oakley Id. As I was running straight up along the reservoir for 1 1/2miles I kept telling myself, " And you enjoy this?", it was a challenge but worth it. In Sept my sister Kim is going to come to Twin Falls and run 7.5 miles the "Rim to Rim" with me! Yeah!! I guess you could say it is a stress reliever for me, and I do enjoy it.
